23:5923:59 is a poster series that focuses on environmental issues. By referencing the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the posters transform their metaphor to create four different types of apocalypse. For each apocalypse, we created two versions of posters. The present version depicts the current crisis, while a more horrific future version illustrates a possible imaginary future.

Stories on the posters
The posters’ composition consists of different small scenes where we incorporate real-life environmental issues and imaginary future doomsday events. We presented these stories and information more in-depth in our extended booklet and explained how we transformed the idea of the four horsemen into our four apocalypses. While the present and future versions have identical compositions, we highlighted the contrast by using different styles [steampunk/cyberpunk] and color schemes [warm/cool], showing the sense of time to enhance the message of preventing the environmental apocalypse.
