Midwest Weird TalesIn 2023, I came to Minnesota for Graduate School, and the otherworldly, gloomy Midwestern scenery fascinated me. Inspired by this, I began interviewing locals about their paranormal and scary experiences, and started to create illustrations through my own interpretation. It became my first-year project in grad school.
Using an outsider lens and observing the American Midwest, the goal is to create a short anthology book combining my illustrations with the collected stories. The project is still ongoing, allowing me to build connections and continue seeking out more otherworldly tales to complete the book.

Gallery Show
As my grad school project, this project participated in a student group show. I was assigned with a wall with a opening in the middle, and to solve this problem, I painted murals that echoed the poitalism technique I used for the illustration and blend the door as part of the mural.
