Background
Ginkgo Packie is a restaurant specializing in traditional Sichuan cuisine with a Western twist. By Incorporating traditional Chinese characters with modern elements (iPad, sunglasses...) in the design, the mural represents the restaurant’s “East meets West” and “Old meets New” food philosophy.
Food Illustrations
Before starting the design, I illustrated various signature dishes and drinks from the menu to show the clients. This step is meant for the clients to see how the dishes would look in illustration form and decide which dishes they want to incorporate into the mural.
