This is an ongoing personal red envelope design project. I depicted the Chinese zodiac animals with detailed monochrome drawings and added quirky written puns, bringing some humor to the traditional take on the red envelope ceremony. In addition, I handpicked various colorful Japanese papers as materials to contrast the black drawings, giving them a more vibrant feel that still fits the Chinese spring festival.
